Why do I bother to write a schedule if people don't look at it to see when they're supposed to work? No pointing fingers, just multiple instances of stress today and multiple schedule re-writes. Why is it we have to hit the doctor on the one day there's a fun and nifty potluck planned? Why why why? Thank you. And now I shall go purchase cheese to go with my whine. Back to your regularly scheduled programming.

One down!

One less person to worry about! Woohoo! No, I did not toss Dean in the Delaware River, tempted as I am sometimes. Nope, we just took him to the doc today for the pain he's been having as well as an odd rash on one leg. I won't go into great detail, but we were afraid he had kidney stones and eczema, the former being damned painful to cure and the latter being incurable. Instead, we got a break! Turns out he has epididimitis (yes, you may all sing the Monty Python song now), which is an infection of the seminal tubing. Not a vastly uncommon thing, but something most guys let go until they're in agonizing pain. Sometimes it pays to be mildly paranoid. ;) The leg thing turned out to just be a mild infection, and between antibiotics and an ointment thingie, the man'll be fine and dandy in about two weeks. This is -way- preferable to worse things, obviously. I am hugely relieved. So now that's more than anyone in their right mind wanted to know about my husband's body, but just be glad I hadn't discovered LJ a year ago. As it was, I'm sure folks got tired of me yammering. ;)

So I still worry about everyone else. My brother gets to take his place amongst the list of 'people Lisa frets about'. He's down in Louisiana right now learning swamp survival training. I do not -even- want to know where they'd send him to fight in a swamp, nor what he's surviving upon. Ewwww. I'll just think nice, safe, happy crawdads. Hush. Let me live in my non-icky delusions.

After the doctor's appointment, we headed back to my office for the family potluck/picnic type thing. Lots of kids and families, lots of noise, lots of amazing food that was mostly gone by the time we got back. Still, it was fun, and Beth did an amazing job putting it together. I'm wiped tired now. Maybe I'll hit the sack early tonight.

Everyone have a Hershey's Kiss! Happy Monday!
