This morning started out not so hot. Overslept a bit, then took too long in the shower, and if I'm not ready five minutes early...well, Dean isn't the most patient of people. Anyhow, I got him to the train station ten minutes before his train got there, as always, and left in a very grumbly mood. Then I went home to finish getting ready, and headed out to work on time, and lo. There were three wrecks on the freeway, and my nice normal 15 minute drive took 35 minutes. Three of us were caught in that, and all walked in at the same time.

So I get here, and I'm starting to work, and one of our Preschoolers walks in. This little guy is about as sweet as can be, and is developing quite the sense of humor. I ask him brightly how he is, and he declares in this fake thick brogue, "Cor, and I'm an idiot!" I stared, then about lost it snickering, and protesting of course! His mom explained it was something from Spongebob Squarepants, so naturally I had to sing a word or two of the theme song from that. He went on to sing several more lines, all a'la the brogue again. I had to crack up laughing, and this time he was laughing too.
It's amazing how something so simple as a few moments of goofiness with a little kid can really brighten a day.
