Good lord! How many people can be sick all at once? Okay, I totally understand calling in sick, and people having daycare issues. Logically, my brain is way sympathetic. But the baser, more selfish part of me is whining up a storm about having to be in the classroom for half the day and having to work late yet again. Whine. Whimper. Bitch. Mope. Okay, I feel better now. ;) Of course, I gripe about all this, but I had an absolute blast in the preschool room yesterday. We cranked up the music and just danced around for an hour at the end of the day. The kids loved it, the other teacher and I had a blast, and the parents all had these big smiles on their faces when they picked up their kids because it was just a happy, silly time. Of course, I'm still expected to keep up with all my other duties, despite spending half the day in the classroom. Heh. Cannot cope. ;)
In far happier news, I'm still bouncing about for obvious reasons, and there was a rather snazzy event last night run by two people who know how an event should be run. Go, both you guys! It rocked! Best of all, I got to natter at a couple of new people that were truly delightful, and whom I look forward to more interaction with them.
Okay, and some fun things happen at work. (Okay, a lot of fun things, but this is not concerning children.) I just spent the last fifteen minutes discussing Highlander bad guys with the dad of one of the kiddos here. Hooray!
Tonight should be good too. I'm picking Dean up in Claymont earlyish, and we're snagging dinner up north and doing some shopping while we're there. We'll still probably be home somewhat early, although I'll likely miss the firelizard hatching tonight. Forgive me,
toasterwiz! I know it's going to go beautifully, though! This is kind of a an early Valentine's for Dean and I though. He's thinking Friday is going to be crazy, and I can't disagree. He was going to take me out as a surprise on Thursday, but then I was telling him about Survivor socialization on Thursday night, and he changed his plans. Major husband points! I'm not sure what's wrong with Wednesday, but I'm not arguing either!
Hopefully we can hit Target tonight. Dean really needs a new watch, as the finish has worn off his and is scratching up his wrist. Not good. I may check and see if Target has anything resembling wrist braces while we're there. I'm not having massive pain problems anymore, thank goodness, but my wrists do get tired very quickly right now. The stretching exercises take care of most of the pain though, to the point that I'm taking a Celebrex perhaps 2-3 times a week instead of daily. Yay!
Mainly, I suppose I'm just tired right now. I was up latish reading, but that's nothing new. I slept like a rock, which is no surprise, but I'm still kind of groggy and processing slowly today. Even coffee hasn't hyped me up. I may just crash out for an hour at lunchtime, since I'm working till 5pm. Go power naps! Woo!
