I'm pretty sure this morning happened inside some kind of time pocket. The one good thing about being ridiculously busy is that I never notice the time flying by. Last night one of our teachers called out today. I didn't know how bad off that would leave us, but I knew she was scheduled at 7:30AM. So I dropped Dean off and broke a few speeding laws into pieces to get here by 7:30am, only to find out one of the other teachers had overslept, and would be an hour late. Best of all? We were already strapped...-before- either teacher was off the schedule. So I'm a half hour early to work, rewriting the schedule, trying to watch infants, letting parents in the door, taking payments, etc. etc. Then the boss is 20 minutes late, so I can't go into the classroom like I need to right at 8:15. Aaugh!

It all started to come together though. One of the other teachers came in several hours early, just because her class got cancelled. Yay, Miss Jenny! And Ruth got here and covered the classroom and made snack so I could work on the other dozen things she wanted me to do. And then Miss Becky brought donuts! Yay!

Since 7:30am - I have rewritten the schedule, inventoried the food in our kitchen and wrote and handed out the snack schedules for next week, updated the attendence rosters and handed those out, proofread/copied/disbursed a two letters to all the parents and one to all the staff, made a deposit and updated our financial records, picked up my work credit card, and picked up all the paychecks and handed those out. I still need to water all the plants and write the snack schedule for the week after next, but I'm all out of motivation. I figure if I sit here a few minutes and whine into my LJ, maybe I'll find more. ;)

I definitely plan on leaving at 3:30 though, given when I got here. I'm not even bothering with a lunch today, so I'm feeling no guilt. Saturday will likely be spent helping the boss move, bless her heart. It's just her and her son, so if Dean and I can pitch in at all, that's a goodness. She's a nice lady.

No update on the kid brother, but that's not surprising. I need to snag a box from work today to ship him all the goodies I bought. My grandfather is officially moving in with my parents where he will drive them nuts, they will drive him nuts, but everyone will feel a lot better knowing that Grandpa isn't out in California all alone. The only one who will be truly put out will be my grandmother, who is so anti-Grandpa, she didn't come to my wedding because he was there. Well, and so was his girlfriend, but still. She can deal.

And that's it. I'm done rambling! Happy Thursday, folks! Stay dry and warm!
