breoaigit: (patchwork)
It's been pretty gray and icky for a few days now, and today is no exception aside from that the sky has inexplicably decided to dump water on us. How inconiderate! It's the sleepiest part of the day for me, right at 2pm. Mornings always fly by, and this morning in particular since I stopped and got coffee, but an hour or two after lunch, everything slows waaaaay down. It's been a mildly bizarre day. I know I've been working all day, but I'd be hard pressed to point to any one task I've finished aside from creating calendars for our Preschool teacher. Right now, it's all about making her life as easy as possible, and I'm right in there with people trying to help her out, poor woman. She's got her hands full with the class she has, and then some.

Weirdly, I got enough sleep last night. I was out cold by 11:30pm and even overslept this morning. (Ack! 7:05?! Get up! Get up! Get up! Get up!) So I'm going on plenty of sleep, and yet my head still has that lovely buzz to it as if I'd had too much to drink, except without the alcohol induced 'Wheeeeeee!' element. Okay, yes, I'm using such scientific terms here. ;) Of course, this current mellowness may have something to do with the icky weather and that I've been going through the Arizona Rx Stress tea like mad lately. Can we say chamomile and valerian? I knew we could.

I re-dyed my hair Wednesday night, so now all the gray is a happy orange-y copper again, which is a color I'm happy with. Dean actually likes this color as well, so I'm sticking with it. Feria hair color has been good to me so far, although I've only tried the one color. Hey, if it keeps the gray away, I'm all for it. I like my gray hair just fine, but I don't like that it makes the natural brown around it all dull and blah. Now if I could only just convince it to grow faster! I'm trying to grow it to waist length, and it's getting there but very very slowly. Maybe I should take Miracle Gro, and end up 5'8" with hair down to my knees. Or I'll end up a rhododendron. Hmm. The latter sounds peaceful. Although with my luck, I'd forget to water myself and end up like every plant I've ever owned. ;)

Dean's working late again tonight, woo. This means I get to drive up to the city to pick his butt up about 8:30 tonight. Thankfully, he's also promised to take me out to dinner after this at a brew pub up in northern Wilmington. I'm hoping they have some sort of berry wheat ale, since they do those really really well.

Oooh, it's 2:40! I've wasted almost an hour! Go me! Okay, so I've been doing stuff that's real work, but that's beside the point. Just over an hour left to go, and it's off to home! Wheeeeee! TGIF!
