And I do mean sleepy in a big way. I keep wanting to just put my head down on my desk and drift off to dreamland, but I'm thinking someone would notice. I'm pretty sure I'm this groggy because the doctor told me to start taking the muscle relaxants again, at least at night, until I'm completely healed. Thankfully, I'm most of the way there, with just a little weakness in the left hip and a lot of stiffness when I first wake up in the morning. It's because I'm still having problems walking in the morning that the doc is insisting I take the pills at night before bed. The only problem is I want to sleeeeep and sleep and sleep. Anyhoo, I have an appointment with the massage therapist this afternoon. Hopefully I won't fall asleep on the poor lady. She hasn't minded the once or twice it's happened before, but I always feel like I'm cheating myself if I nod off.
Not much news on the new job front. I'm still at the Center, but I'm busily training my replacement Daniela, who is, I'm thrilled to say, doing an absolutely brilliant job! She's a total joy to work with, and is picking stuff up at lightning speed, and isn't afraid to poke me when she doesn't understand and I need to explain better. I'm feeling really good about leaving the position in her hands. The question is, when -do- I leave? No one seems to know just yet.
On the happy side, I finally got a new computer at work! It's a gorgeous Dell Optiplex GX270, and they got me a 17" flat panel monitor! I am -so- in love. Of course, I get this all right before I leave, but hey, I can love it while I'm here!
Loving this Season of Angel so far! Last night was wonderful, although I kept informing the TV that the bits with the poor girl suffering were really getting overdone and just flat out boring. Get back to the main cast! I can't say I hope the girl becomes a regular. Nothing against her, but she just seems like a forced plot device. I'm gleefully awaiting next week, though! When they have to put parental warnings on a Spike-centric episode, you just -know- Joss is going to be all dark and twisted, and that's just entertainment goodness right there!
Okay, enough ranting about TV. It's lunch time, and I'm going to go wander off and actually eat something and read and enjoy the amazing, chilly, windy, brilliantly sunny fall weather that I love so much. Happy Thursday!
