Okay, I'm far too easily made happy. I have a new icon! How fangirly am I? Yeah, yeah, I know. Anyway, it's made by
mys1985, whom I don't know, but I have to respect for her love of Amber Benson and JM both.
Good weekend all the way around. I scored a new pair of jeans that are ridiculously comfy, a sweatshirt and a flannel shirt (hey, look, my winter wardrobe! And how about that, I'm wearing a different pair of jeans and flannel right now. Oh, yeah, I'm set for winter.) ;)
Sunday we hit the mall in the great search for Bath and Body Works because I was out of jasmine scented lotions/etc. Woe! Great calamity! They have discontinued the jasmine line! Even worse, just about everything they had either smelled like cucumber, rotten oranges, or smelled like something I'd have worn when I was ten. We wandered out and headed over to The Body Shop, which is smaller, focuses more on natural stuff (they had a line of hemp products, I have to approve just by genetics), and was far more what I was looking for. I picked up some new stuff in bergamot scent. They had jasmine, but only in essential oils, and I'd have had to have it mixed with unscented lotion and stuff. The bergamot scent was already pre-mixed, and I -really- liked it. It's a little reminiscent of the lemon chicken at the local Moroccan restaurant, but only in that crisp citrus scent.
I'm still down at the Center, awaiting my eventual move up to Allied Health. My boss up at AH is out at a conference right now though, and she asked me to go ahead and stay down here until she got back. I'm still waiting to hear some sort of tentative schedule as to when I can go, which I need to email her when (if) I get it. My replacement is trained essentially aside from a list of a few tiny things that are pretty much arranged in a way that no training is needed per se, just a 'here it is, go for it'. So worrying about someone doing the job when I go is no longer necessary. She's good to go entirely, and on that, I'm thrilled. Now they just need to -let- me go! Auugughgh! Patience is.
And, miracle of miracles, I got a haircut this weekend! Gasp! Horror! No, it's not all gone, I only had them take off an inch. It's long enough now (and I'm short enough) that I had to stand up for her to cut the ends in the back. She was very startled that I use no styling products to keep it as straight as it is. I guess if my hair is straight, I can classify myself as mildly wavy. ;)
Happy Monday, all! Remember to love your enemies! It confuses them!
