So I just got back from the dentist. Oy. First off, let me just say the man is a wonder. He's a sweet person, explained every step, and was excessively careful about making sure it wasn't painful, and made it as easy as he could for me. Turns out the two little pits were actually small cavities that needed filling, one in each of my very back molars on the top. I got a shot of novocaine in each side. I tried to be brave, but when it went past uncomfortable into painful, he immediately stopped and shot me up with more novocaine. The end result was the drilling and the fillings were painless, the music in the room was great, and it was very relaxed.
And I can't even remotely feel my mouth. I can't even purse my lips. My whole head feels like one big void. (Hush, peanut gallery. A bigger void than normal.) ;)
And in fact, our secretary is informing me I should go home and rest, and is being remarkably sweet. Okay, I'm off to head home and try to find my face. Happy Wednesday!
