Free time? Whazzat?
Mar. 23rd, 2004 10:21 amOur Occupational Therapy department is going through its accreditation site visit. I am the 'behind the scenes' person that sets up all the refreshments and meeting materials, keeps everything fresh, gets their lunch orders and their lunch, and basically runs errands like a madwoman, so I'm putting in a little overtime. Heh. A little.
Yesterday: At work by 7:15am. Worked non-stop (short lunch break) until 7:30pm. The boss was supposed to give me a ride home. When she was still chatting with the Dean of Instruction by 8:05pm, I called Dean to tell him to eat dinner without me. The wonderful, wonderful man offered to come get me instead. Huge husband points!
Today: At work by 7:30am. This is the first chance I've had to sit for a few minutes, and I'm back at high speed in ten or so. Hopefully I'll make it out of here by 4:45pm, so I can pick Dean up at the train station at 5:15pm. Then we're off to the Honda dealer! Woohoo! Tonight I shall be a grading maniac, grading a slew of essay midterms and exemplification essays.
Tomorrow: At work by 7:30am. The accreditors leave by 11am. Woohoo! After that, it's a relatively normal work day, and I can leave at the usual time. Then I'm off to class from 6-9pm. After that, hopefully I go home and pack, as we're supposed to head up to upstate NY to go welcome baby brother home! Unfortunately, the Army is being putzy, and possibly pushing back his leaving date. I figure if he leaves by tomorrow, I really still want to go. Otherwise, I'll have to cancel, which I desperately don't want to do, but spending 3 nights of hotel for no reason is kind of silly. But more than anything else, I just want the kid brother home and safe! Everyone think happy thoughts for him!
Thursday/Friday/Saturday/Sunday: Upstate NY? Maybe? I hope? If not, work, and a normal weekend.
Next week? Pretty much repeat the cycle. I've got meetings at work next Tuesday and Thursday nights. If I survive the next week and a half, I will deserve a cookie. ;)
Mini-weight update: November - 209 lbs. This morning - 187 lbs. :)
