It's raining. Again. It's gray and icky and dreary out there, and it's matching how I feel pretty well, even though things aren't bad. Granted, one mildly depressing and baffling discovery, but not one I want to go into here, and not one I can do anything about or has huge impact on my life. Just kind of a general *sniff*. Anyhow, so it's time to think of good things. Friday was snazzy! I had my trip to the spa for a facial, a'la birthday present from Dean. It was very, very nice! I just don't think I'm going to have it done again. Nothing against the spa, the procedure, or anything involved, and I'd recommend the place to anyone interested. I just feel like my money would be better spent elsewhere on other things, and that I can do much the same thing for myself at home. Then lunch at Panera Bread (must remember to say no cilantro if I get the Asian salad again, but the black bean soup was godly!), a drive up to the Riverfront Market, and a quiet afternoon after picking Dean up early. Saturday we had our taxes done, and instead of paying this year, we have a refund! Woohoo! Time for new glasses, and more money chunked into the moving fund! Yesterday, we were invited to Easter dinner at a friend's house. The food was fantastic, but the atmosphere was mildly taciturn. Thankfully, we spent most of our time spoiling their baby rotten, then fled at a reasonable time to hit the grocery store and go home to do laundry. Ah, the celebration! ;) Seriously, it was sweet of them to offer since they know Dean and I have a religious background, and I didn't have the heart to tell them Easter's not a huge holiday for us.

This week should be quiet, thank goodness. The boss is out most of the week, and I plan to get a lot of grading done. It's spring break, so no teaching on Wednesday night thank goodness! Now if the sun would just come out, life would be far shinier. Happy Monday to all of you, with many sunshine thoughts. I hope life is treating each and every one of you with a lot of kindness and peace. :)

I love...

fat-free hot chocolate. Life just got a million times better. ;)
Oh, dear sweet Jeebus, this has frightened the tar out of me. And made me have to cover my mouth to keep from laughing out loud at work. ;)

Because, really. Really. Everyone needs Rosy Perfection Salad. Really.
