Where in the world is Lisa San Diego?
Aug. 31st, 2004 10:10 pmWhich I can just -hear- Rockapella singing, can't you? Yes, I'm still alive, if a little slow moving by this time of night. We've been on a mad packing cycle, which mostly entails throwing huge amounts away, setting some aside for Goodwill, and packing the rest. Tonight I emptied out half our pantry and we moved the bed to the living room, since that's really where Dean will be living while I'm gone, kind of like an efficiency.
Today was my last, final day at Del Tech. EEEEEEEE! I'm freeeeee! *dancing and leaping about wildly!* Yeah, I'm a little happy about that. Granted, I worked late to get everything done, but my boss, the accountant, and the secretary all took me to a fantastic place for lunch called 'Dead Presidents Pub'. Guh. Why the heck have I not been there before this? Wonderful place! It was a really nice lunch, though, very friendly. Of course, as of leaving the place, I am officially joining the ranks of the unemployed. It feels weird. I've only been unemployed for very short periods of time (2 months when I first got up here being the longest) since I was 17 years old. I'd love to take a long break, but I'm pretty sure I'd go stark raving mad. ;) Anyway, a few weeks off will be really wonderful, particularly when we're done moving.
( And when are you moving, Mrs. Frisby? )
