Yeah, it's been one of those roller-coastery days. Downsides quickly are I think I've let people down by not being active enough, and that makes me sad. Gotta try to do better. Sorry, folks. :P Dinner should have been lovely, but it took 40 minutes to get food, and Mom and Dean's stuff was pretty overcooked. Okay, that's enough of that.

Good stuff!
-I got my Christmas present from Dean waaaay early, but now I have a lovely 15" flat panel monitor on my desk, and it is -shiny-! I am in love!
-Dean and I went apartment hunting today, and we found one we love. I'd found San Paloma earlier, which is stunningly gorgeous. It bills itself 'resort living' and the amenities really are. The swimming pool is spectacular, the fitness room is amazing, etc. etc. I liked the apartment, but the amenities far outshone it. We also went to see Settler's Ridge, which has similar amenities, if not quite as nice. The apartment however...-wow-! Storage like mad, a gorgeous porcelein kitchen sink, ceiling fans, big bathtubs, on and on. Dean and I both fell in love with it and with the people there. Pretty, pretty stuff. We'll check out a few more places, but I believe it looks like Settler's Ridge is all systems go. (These are not as pricey as they look. We'd be paying less than we were at the hole in the wall in DE.)
-I found this gorgeous chocolate made with jasmine tea. Don't knock it. Two great tastes that taste oh-my-god-amazing together!
-Grabbed dinner with [livejournal.com profile] tajnyj, [livejournal.com profile] mattcwood, Dean, and my Mom last night at Bubba's, and it was delightful!
-I got a pair of 4" heeled shoes yesterday. I have nowhere proper to wear these. I never buy shoes for no reason. I just did. I feel deliciously reckless. Granted, I got them on the clearance rack at DSW, so they were also cheap, which is even better. :)
-The teacher I subbed for yesterday wants my sub number so she can request me again and said she'd pass the number around to the other teachers at that school. Plus I got drawings from the kids. Feeling loved!
-Mom took us to the part of the house where the security light is blocked, and we could see more stars than I've seen in easily fifteen years. The universe is a truly awe-inspiring place.
-There's a new JibJab. Go see it. 'Nuff said.
