I voted!

Like this was a surprise? Of course I voted! I got out of school about 4pm, and made the lovely 45 minute drive from Round Rock to Jonestown. I had to wait in line all of 5 minutes. Mom said it was a madhouse this morning, but there were maybe 10 people in line at 4:40 or so when I was there. I got in, got my business done, no problems.

Today was a wonderful day! And a sad, sad day. Yeah, just give me ye olde comedy/tragedy masks, please. I subbed 2nd grade at a positively lovely school. The kids were great, the class was easy, and we all had a blast! I was at this school last week, and they got -all- excited at finding out I'm certified, and heavily encouraged me to apply for their open 2nd grade teacher position. They made it sound like nobody was applying for jobs mid-semester, of course! So I filled out the monster app and got my resume and cover letter in right away. Whee! Today I go back, and find out just about every sub in the school is not only applying for said job, but had their interview today. No one called me for an interview. So, yeah, I'm kinda whiney. Sniff. All unlov-ed. ;) So anyhow, I just keep applying!
