The anniversary trip was a blast! We drove down to San Antonio on Friday. First we went to Natural Bridge Caverns and took a tour. Yes, I like caves. Then we checked into our hotel. There were a few minor problems, like multiple teenage girl soccer teams (they were well behaved) and their parents (who were obnoxious idiots), not enough pillows, and a mildly scary location, but the room itself was snazzy! More importantly, the two-person jacuzzi in the room was even snazzier! It was a beautiful sight! Anyhow, we were about a mild and a half from the Riverwalk, and walked down there and around and around. I don't know how far we walked, but it was a -long- way. Long enough we spent multiple hours down there, including dinner and a boat ride. By the time we walked back to the hotel, I was having problems walking that turned out to be a footfull of blisters. Good thing I brought bandaids! We went to Fiesta Texas on Saturday, which was a -blast-! Their Superman roller coaster is seriously like flying! We got there at about 9:30 am, and had almost no wait on most of the rides. About 2pm though, the lines really started filling up, as did the park. We'd ridden all the good stuff by then, and got ice cream for Dean and a funnel cake for me, then headed back to the hotel. After a beautiful nap (and another blister/another bandaid), we ate dinner at Texas Land and Cattle. Merlot. Steak. Lobster tail. Strawberry Cheesecake. I was in heaven, and also very stuffed. Holy moley, I don't ever want to eat that much again. Today we hit the Mexican marketplace in San Antonio, then came home.

So of course, I've been without net access the last few days, utterly unable to check the status of the auditions. I got home, and checked. Frustration snipped. )
