Snake bad!

I do not hate snakes. Snakes are nifty creatures. I am really learning to be utterly creeped out and horrified by poisonous snakes, however. Mom threw a bunch of snake repellent stuff under and about the house today. Guess what was on our front porch steps tonight? That's right, another rattler. Evidently this is unsurprising, as they're supposed to start slithering away pretty quick because they hate this stuff. Good! But do not slither up upon our porch! To say the least, that particular snake is no longer amongst the living on this earth. Dean and his handy-dandy shotgun turned it into...well, I'd rather not say, but my stomach is still doing flip-flops unhappily because I chose to look. Big mistake. It turns out decapitated snakes freak me out more than live ones. I need to take pepto and go to bed, I think. :P
