I have a friend who does amazing parody and improv work. And you know what? I'd repost this song even if he wasn't my friend, because it gives me a total giggle fit. Go, [livejournal.com profile] da_zhuang! You are inspiration, not to mention teh funny!

Tonight is the Grand Opening!

What: The Merry Wives of Windsor, by William Shakespeare
Where: Sam Bass Community Theatre
When: 8:00 PM tonight through August 19th. Thursday, Friday, Saturdays at 8:00 PM, Sundays at 2:00 PM
How much: $15, $13 for students/seniors

The idea: Sir John Falstaff is a knight down on his financial luck. He decides to seduce two of the wealthiest women in town to get at their husband's coffers. The women find out and plot all sorts of unmerciful revenges on him! Buahahaha! Set this in the 1950s, adding in imitations of Lucy and Ricky Ricardo, Gracie Allen, Ozzie and Harriet Nelson, and a lot of the musical Grease, not to mention a British man singing "What's New Pussycat"...well, Shakespeare never knew he had it coming!

Come support the arts, and laugh in the meantime!
Woohoo! The Sam Bass plight made the paper!

And yes, I'm done spamming for the day. ;)
