Good:
Dean took me out to Marble Falls, a tiny town on the Colorado RIver, last night. We stayed in the Hampton Inn overlooking the river, had a lovely dinner, and basically just spent the time relaxing. Both of us needed this badly. Also, at 3:00 PM on Friday, SPRING BREAK started! WOOT! Woot, I say! I lovelovelove my job, but I also lovelovelove my downtime. Also, my laundry is done, my mattress got flipped tonight and the bedding washed, and my room is in the process of being cleaned. :)

Bad/Ow:
I feel like someone has punched me in the chest. I've been coughing a lot, and occasionally my heart races and feels like its skipping beats. This bites a lot, although honeybush tea helps a great deal. Yummy stuff, too.

Experimental:
I'm going to try a detox fast during spring break, or at least part of it. Tuesday I plan to stick to just juices, teas, and water, plus a multivitamin. Wednesday I'll add in a few whole grains and vegetables. Thursday I'll add in some fish and non-meat proteins. Friday I'll go back to normal diet. During this, I plan to do a lot of resting, meditation, tai chi, yoga, etc. The goal here is a good dose of rejuvenation; letting my mind and body relax and slow down, plus empty out some of the physical/emotional garbage. Will it work? Dunno. If it doesn't or starts to make me really sick, I'm not going to be heartbroken if I have to eat more. I do want to try sticking to a super-healthy diet this week though. I'll report here and there with how it's going. :)
