New Year's Philosophy
So I don't do New Year's resolutions in the traditional way. I try to pick a single word and work towards incorporating it into my life. Last year the word was 'joy', and by golly, there was indeed a massive amount of joy. :) This year, the word is 'compassion'...for both others and myself. In that spirit of philosophy, I repost this, which I posted about a year and a half ago:
"Later on, you can look back and say, 'Oh, now I understand. That had to happen so those could happen, and those hand to happen in order for this to happen...' Then you realize that even if you'd tried to make it all turn out perfectly, you couldn't have done better, and if you'd really tried, you would have made a mess of the whole thing."

Happy Belated New Year, everyone. :)
