Update on kid brother!
Well, I called home for Father's Day today, which was really nice. It was good to talk to the folks, and I'm looking forward to seeing them in a few weeks. I did find out though that my brother's no longer in Kuwait. He left for Iraq about three weeks ago. His platoon is attached to a Special Forces unit, and you can just take guesses as to what they're doing in Iraq by reading the news. Think happy thoughs for the Munchkin, folks, please. (Okay, so he's not so short anymore. But once upon a time he was shorter than me!)
We went out and got Dean a haircut today. The lady at Supercuts said they'd been doing nothing but buzz cuts on men since noon, which both amuses me and doesn't surprise me in the slightest. It's nasty humid, which combined with the mild heat is icky. I'm honestly glad each time it rains, as tired as I am of rain. Still, it's a content kind of day. I got to natter at the family, spend time with the husband, and spoil the cats. Simple happiness things are all to the good. So I'm gonna enjoy the rest of my day off, and look forward to Friday, which I also have off. Yay! :)
