Movie Meme!

Oooh, a Meme! Whee! I'm stealing this from
tajnyj because she is evil and convinced me to see Amityville Horror. Okay, it didn't exactly take arm twisting. C'mon, Ryan Reynolds half-dressed? Yeah, see, that's what I mean!
Q1. Total number of films I own on DVD/video:
I honestly, absolutely have no idea. Not a huge and overwhelming number, but a respectable amount. They're mostly packed and in storage though. I have a truly dusty collection of Disney VHS tapes released in the 80s and 90s though!
Q2. The last film I bought
Blade Trinity, because I adore the Blade movies! Uh, but I haven't watched it yet. I've had bronchitis, and I hate watching TV when I'm sick. Yeah, I'm weird. But...Ryan Reynolds! Le sigh!
Q3. The last film I watched
Amityville Horror, because again with the Ryan Reynolds yumminess! But the dog. Oh god, the dog! I am -pissed- about the dog! Aughghghghghgh! I may never forgive
tajnyj. Okay, I will, but she owes me, uh, something. I'll think of suitable retribution, even if she enjoys it.
I need to watch Blade Trinity soon. Very, very soon. Maybe tonight, as Mom also loves Blade. What a way to spend Mother's Day!
Q4. Five films that I watch a lot or that mean a lot to me
Okay, some of these will be hokey, but they have sentimental value. I'm absolutely not going for "good" movies, but ones that I love.
Star Wars - The original movie released when I was a whopping 6 years old. Mom and I went to the theater and stood in line to see it when it first opened. I love it to this day, and it is my favorite of all the Star Wars movies, regardless of quality.
Hook - The one with Robin Williams and Dustin Hoffman. I love just about any Peter Pan stories, but this movie came out at a pretty dark time in my life, and it made me honestly happy. Every time I watch it, I feel warm all over. Besides, I'm pretty sure I've lost my marbles too.
Who Framed Roger Rabbit? - What can I say? I can quote this movie! I have seen it more times than I can count. Roger Rabbit was one of my two favorite costumes at Disneyland, and I studied this movie intently so they'd let me keep playing Roger. Why, my Uncle Thumper had a problem with his probate, and he had to take the biiiig pills and drink looots of water!
The Secret of NIMH - Moving Day, Mrs. Frisby! One of the most stunningly beautiful examples of animation ever in my opinion. Don Bluth is a genius, and I love him. I also think the theme song, "Flying Dreams", is fabulously beautiful too.
American In Paris - Okay, really anything with Gene Kelly, but this movie especially. This movie taught me a remarkable amount about dance. It's almost almost more of a painting brought to life than a movie, for which I also love it. And hey, the tunes are catchy!
Q5. Which five people am I passing the baton onto? And why?
Uhhhh, see, can't do that? If you wanna do this meme, have at it! But I can't bring myself to inflict a meme on any specific person. Even if you don't stick it in your journal, do the meme in your head! It's fun! Really! No, -really-! :)
