Splat tomorrow

Tomorrow morning I get up and splat the contents of my brains onto a scantron. My poor brain currently holds so much musical information, I think I have preludes and concertos leaking out my ears. The concertos take longer though. They have three movements. And don't get me started on the Baroque era. ;)

Rehearsals for the show are going very well. While I'm constantly being reminded by my body that I'm no longer 17, I also no longer hurt at the end of every rehearsal.

But now, sleep. Hopefully none of this information will leak out of my ears. And maybe by tomorrow morning I'll understand why these fancy schmancy theorists think Bach is more ornamental than Mozart. Hmpf. Mozart may not be polyphonic all that much, but his soprano cadenzas? -Tell- me that ain't opera tinsel! Wad it up and throw it at the music! Okay, I'm done ranting. I sleep now, and leave you all to mourn my lost sanity. ;)

I like Bach and Mozart for totally different reasons, but I have to admit I think Bach is much richer to listen to. Maybe because I overstudied and burnt out on Mozart. :)

Good luck on the test! I'll think music thoughts for you tomorrow... and probably get Tocatta and Fugue In D Minor stuck in my head as a result, but some sacrifices must be made. ;)

Bach is more ornametal that Mozart because he used to hang Christmas ornaments off the end of his nose.
