I did it. I applied for a different job. I can't decide if I'm terrified, excited, or what. It's not a bad job, certainly, from what I can tell. It's the same job title I currently hold, same pay even. Instead of being someone's secretary though (never mind that my job description is to be more of a liason with the college students. They wanted a secretary, and had to give it a fancy title to hire what they wanted), I'd be running the campus testing center. That's actually a little more up my alley, given the background in higher ed. Big plus, it'd get me out of the department I'm in now. Nothing wrong with the department, but I'm more and more frequently feeling now that I just don't belong here. Off with the applications! Woo! The Man has also said if I find a job I really like, we might stay here a little longer. Maybe I'd better look into enrolling at UDel. ;)
Randomly, I've decided why I like the song Hella Good, that new No Doubt single. It reminds me of the music from Doom (which I played to excess on our old Sega). Now I want to find Doom for my PC, although I dunno if it'll compare to days sitting on the floor in front of the console and TV, blasting trash cans into next week. I'll just have to find out!
