Okay, so nothing's really happened of note in the last few days, so no news is good news, right? ;)
Anyhow, nothing new on the insurance front. I sent a bunch of paperwork, I hear nothing. Same ol', same ol'.
On the job front, I'm applying like mad. I've updated my resume on a few job sites, and I'm currently working on Dean's on Monster.com. I applied for a job with the lady who adopted the kitten
toasterwiz found, as she runs a computer instruction company that works with daycares and elementary schools. I also have an appointment with Christina School district coming up to interview to be a sub. Gotta get a ton of paperwork for that one together though. Whew! Only problem with subbing, as Dean very gently pointed out, is what the heck do I do in the summer? Well, hopefully we'll be back in Texas, but hell, we've been saying that for over a year now. Anyway, there's still lots of options. There's a position that just opened on the Stanton campus that I'm going to apply for, although it would be a pay cut. But hey, the Stanton campus -rocks-. It's prettier, safer, and less than 5 minutes from home. No more traffic! We'll see what happens.
In some -really- good news, I got my syllabus from the English Department at DTCC. Holy moley! I have -no- curriculum planning to do! It's all spelled out for me, from the attendance policy to the week by week break down to the grading break down! I am -so- in love. This -rocks-.
I'm off the charts on the stress-o-meter, but things are starting to even out again. Life goes on, and so do we all, and dang it, there's a lot of things for which to be grateful. I'm hoping to drag Dean off to the beach on Sunday and be excessively lazy. I think I missed my calling in life. I needed to be a beach bum. ;)
