My husband is the best!
Nov. 20th, 2006 08:25 pmSo today kicked my butt, and hard. I am wiped out in a big way. Granted, I accomplished a lot. While all the classes watched The Nutcracker, we also discussed what we were seeing, the music playing, what it took to be a dancer, and why dancers could be considered athletes. Then we went on to discuss healthy eating and exercise habits during the party scene. That kinda thing. I rarely just 'throw a video on'. I like using them as discussion fodder, particularly if I'm too sick to sing. Anyhow, there was that, plus I got the invitations done for the concerts K-4, designed the Choir t-shirts, and wrote a Choir newsletter. Tomorrow I need to get the invites out to the teachers to send home, contact the PTA lady about said t-shirts, and survive the day. Choir after school seriously kicked me. The kids worked hard, but I was just so wiped I could barely concentrate. Stoopid cold. So afterward I drag myself home intent on rest....and what to my wondering eyes should appear?
My husband, who is on vacation this week, has gone to the new Ikea by himself to buy me a new computer desk! Not just any desk, but the one I've been oohing and aahing over for rather some time! -And- he put it together! On top of all this, he's been planning to surprise me with this, and the whole family knew except me. I was surprised, all right! He has like a gajillion husband points racked up right now. Forget flowers. I have a computer desk! Squee!
Of course, it is now 8:30, and I am about to fall over. Must enjoy computer desk tomorrow. Today...sleep. Zzzzzzzz.
