10 Things I'm Grateful For

Okay, so it's not exactly Thanksgiving, but it is Ash Wednesday, so I'm supposed to be all reflective, right? So I figured I'd come up with ten things I'm grateful for, and let that be my Philosophical Moment for the day. :)
So now I'm off to a meeting in a little bit to discuss budget issues. I'm so not a money person, but I handle a lot of the finances here. Go figure. Only one person called out today, and it didn't fuss with the schedule a lick, thank goodness.
First night of school was last night. MooMan and I teach on the same night, turns out, and we share an office, but that's okay because he's a seriously easy guy to share an office with, very nice about it. Unfortunately, there are three computer classes scheduled on the same night, and we all want the computer lab. So guess who gets to find a new lab, if one exists? Yup, me. Oh, joy. Class went very well, other than that, and everyone really seemed to be getting the material. I also have several students who watch Buffy on Tuesday nights, so we mourned together. Ironically, most of the Buffy-watchers are women my age or older. Yay!
- Being married 7.5 years, and still being glad I married the guy
- Having two nearly identical hyper-affectionate cats, both rescued by chance
- Having friends to whom I'm close enough they're like family
- Getting random emails from my mother-in-law just to say hello, because she misses me. Not just Dean, but me too. Warm fuzzy, bigtime.
- The cloud of clean laundry smelling steam coming out of the dryer vent outside my apartment when it's cold outside
- Having a tavern to go to where they know what I want to drink when I walk in
- The fragile but relieved feeling of a headache fading away after tea and ibuprofen have worked their magic
- Feeling trusted enough to help on a MU* project to which I normally wouldn't have access
- That place between sleep and awake when I'm still dreaming, but aware enough to know the cat is against my back and purring
- Wasabi. How did I go thirty years without dicovering it? How?!
