More Security hell at work. Once again, the new Security Head Goober has made an executive decision that seems to have come from the anal vortex. We now shall only have a guard at drop off and pick up time. Okay, grumble grumble, I don't -like- it, but I can deal with it. Except when it's 4:15pm, and there's no guard in the building. Hello! We close at 5pm! People start picking up around 3:30pm! Evidently he figured we closed at five, so maybe getting a guard here by 4:55pm was good enough! The best part of this idiot ran down his daddy's leg, I swear. Grrr. On top of that, we're having major food theft. We haven't hired anyone new or lost anyone in over six months, and we have a low turnover anyhow. This doesn't eliminate the staff officially, but no one really suspects anyone that works here. However, we have gotten new custodians in the last month, and have had to call multiple times to their company about poor cleaning, not that we're getting any response from the company they work for either. Hmmmmm. Anyway, it all boils down to dealing with Security, and I just flat out don't want to anymore. I was mad all yesterday evening, and even last night kept waking up angry throughout the night, so I got very little sleep. Grr. Argh.
Oh! Grr! Argh! Joss Whedon is an evil bastard! Wheeeeee!
Anyway, Ruth is here today, so I can pass off the Security issues to her. I, in turn, will lose myself in the comfort of nice, sane numbers and do billing. Tonight I will cook a real dinner, although I have no idea what. Maybe chicken of some sort. And I will watch Alton Brown, and life will be good. I have tea, and I got to see the MooFamily last night, and MooBaby laughed at me a lot, which is honestly one of the neatest things going. Maybe I'll bake a cake tonight, even! Yeah! It is yet another gray and dreary day, so soup may be in order for lunch. We need a Wawa here downtown.
Okay, I'm reading over all of this and snickering. My, I need cheese to go with my whining. There really are good things going on too, I swear! Dean's decided what kind of motorcycle he wants, and he's signed up to take the bike safety class in August. He may get his permit sooner though so we can buy said motorcycle and have it by then. I think the moment that has given me the most giggles so far is a coworker of his asked how I felt about his getting a motorcycle. Dean explained it had been my idea originally. Said coworker wanted to know if I had taken out any large life insurance policies on Dean recently. Now the problem is, Dean is telling me this story yesterday about 6:30am. I'm so not awake, I just kinda squinted at him. "Nooooo. I don't -think- I have. Should I?" So, for the first time ever, you're seeing it here, folks! I'm doing a poll!
