Movie Meme

On the radio yesterday morning, the DJs were listing their individual five favorite movies. I'm thinking, hey, sounds fun. So here's mine, in no particular order, because I'd have fits if I had to choose one of the others.

  • The Princess Bride
  • The Three Musketeers (the Disney version with Oliver Platt)
  • The Secret of NIMH
  • Peter Pan
  • Dogma

Happy Tuesday!

Loved it.
Drool on it. The kids still suggest it when I'm in a bad mood.
Loved it. Kids really loved it.
Disney? Loved. Other? Not so.
Loved, loved, loved it. Surprised my kids when I bought it.

"Champagne?"
"Not now, Porthos! We're in the middle of a chase!"
"You're right. Something red."

What, what, you mean, we can only pick five? Five favorites out of all the movies in the world? Damn you! This is harder than picking just six guys for my harem! ;)

But what the heck, I'll give it a shot:

1. Monty Python and the Holy Grail
2. South Park: Bigger, Longer, and Uncut
3. Romeo and Juliet (Zefferelli version, since I'd guess the 'Tales From the L33t' version doesn't count. ;)
4. A tie between The Secret of NIMH, Titanic, and Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home. I know, I know.
5. Robin Hood: Men In Tights

Honorable mention goes to the MSTed versions of Pumaman and Parts: the Clonus Horror, which I didn't count since I figured MSTings were cheating, as well as Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, Cecil B. Demented, and Zardoz. Yes, Zardoz. I can't explain it. Something about the sheer wrongness of it has earned it a place in my twisted little heart.
